What kind of Italian restaurant is La Nostra Gigí?
Gigi is an Italian restaurant and cocktail bar on the Marie Heinekenplein, right in the middle of De Pijp in Amsterdam. The kitchen is built around shared dining: antipasti, pasta, secondi and dolce in the middle of the table, in a colourful '70s setting. Come for a long dinner or just for a cocktail at the bar.
What is shared dining and how does it work here?
With shared dining nobody orders their own main course; instead you put a series of dishes on the table to share. Ours is called “Lascia fare a Gigi”: you leave the choice to the kitchen and get a sharing menu along our favourites. It starts from 2 people, so you do not need a group for it.
What does an evening at Gigi cost?
The shared dining menu is € 47,50 per person for 3 courses and € 52,50 for 4 courses. You can of course also order individual dishes and cocktails à la carte. Prices are indicative and may change seasonally.
Can I come to Gigi with a group?
Online you can book for 1 to 8 people. With more than 8 guests we put together a tailored sharing menu through our groups page, from one long table to hiring the whole place.
Can I just come for a drink?
Absolutely. You are always welcome at the bar for a drink if there is room. We are open Monday to Friday from 17:00 and at weekends from 12:00.
